Scarey Tales And Nightmares
Jessica was only four when the monster came. It shambled into dreams that were not dreams. On a night in high summer, when the moon was bright and full. The night time breeze was softly perfumed with honey suckle and jasmine, it stalked into the house to only hunt, and slaughter. The wind whispered through the trees which kept Jessica up all night she was afraid of the dark especially when she seen the monster standing over her just an hour ago. She heard the foot steps again begining to tremble, She jumped up running over to the closet this time hiding.
Her uncle Ted told the best stories, wonderfully silly ones with pink elephants and two headed sheep. But he'd gotten sick and the sickness made him do bad things. Her Aunt May had told her he'd had to go away until he wasn't sick anymore. That's why he could only come to see her when Aunt May or Uncle David was there they had to stay right in the room the whole time. Once she was allowed to go to Uncle Teds new house on the beach. Aunt May and Uncle David had taken her, she'd been fascinated and delighted to watch the waves crashing to shore through the bay window in the front room.
Uncle Ted wanted to take her out on the beach just to make sandcastles, just the two of them but her Aunt had said no. Ted left Jessica in the closet just to take a look around he knew there wasn't any ghost he knew who the real monster was but he couldn't let Jessica know what a terrible person he really was. He wasn't sure if she had seen anything except the broken glass from the vase that had been broken from the struggle and of course the blood from her aunt May,and Uncle David, was quite obvious.
