Stepping out of the bar lighting a cigarette, suddenly he feels excruciating pain in his kidney. He falls to the ground they search his pockets for money. The brotha's asked him, "wheres the white rocks you just bought in the alley?" Faintly he hears foot steps as they run away. The hospital pronounces him DOA.
Flash Fiction Friday 55 is a story written in exactly 55 words. It's fun exciting and definitely a challenge making sure to use no more than fifty five words and no less of course and you must read the ones of your fellow writers. Vivid and gritty. I think this is well done. He didn't know what hit him. You capture the unforgiving, relentless life of the streets so well.
