Merit Badge
55 words. It's fun exciting and definitely a challenge making sure to use no more than fifty five words and no less of course and you must read the ones of your fellow writers. Gmans Place Let the G-Man know if you write one Why Gman's? Place because he's the Man who came up with this great Idea.
The boyscout took a few leaves and dry grass, placed it in a pile, took the stick wrapping the string around it and twisted it fast enough to cause friction. Soon the boyscout had a nice little fire burning for the boys to cook with on their camping trip. Johnny earned his merit badge proudly.

nice. great job on the merit badge...know a few eagle scouts myself and lived int eh woods long enough to learn how to build a fire myself...great 55!
Thanks for good "55"...memories, AH!
Boy Scouts: All I can recall is playing a game called "Snipe"...and I was the guy left holding the bag, in the middle of the Ohio River, on a small spit of sand. PFFFTTT!
Here is MINE
I joined the scouts - can't wait for something like this.
When camping, we used to be sent out into the country with food to cook - and a single match to light the fire we had to build.
I always wondered if that actually worked.
Way to go boy scout
nice in 55
thanks for visiting my popped cork
great 55! Tough task particularly when one needs the warmth of a fire or something to eat! Bring on the smores!
So that's how it's done! I never knew.
A terrific 55 Larry!
Bet if most folks had to do that, they'd starve or freeze. Good one!
