     The box fans brought relief circulating the air around the room.  Everyone was just lying around looking as if they were dead, except John, and when is he ever normal?  Finally the evening hours did cool down.  The atmosphere completely changed after the Budweiser arrived.  Sooner than later came the pole dancers their cute girls.

Woman Called Rose

     His fingers laced the bottle, his body turning cold, his memories of a woman he loved called Rose.  Often he thought of her as he drank from his bottle of wine.  She used to sit beside him, thinking back in times tears ran down his face, memories of a time it was their favorite place.
