I was lying in wait for him behind the rose hedge. I knew I shouldn't meddle in other peoples business, but, I couldn't let him get away with stealing the gold rings. I learned of the theft when I saw him rummaging through Sheila's desk drawer and later she found her rings missing. He parked his car and got out. I jumped out from behind the hedge and grabbed him. It was a great ambush. It completely caught him off guard.
 As he tried to deny stealing the rings, which I found in his pocket, the look on his face was hideous.
