Earthquake
The three words for today are
Jolt–Ribbon–Zeal–
Thomg is the Moderator of Three Word Wednesday
As I sat down in my comfy chair I felt the Jolt of the earthquake, it had a ribbon effect like continuous waves rolling. There was Broken glass everywhere, canned goods all over the floor, shattered windows, smashed antiques. It took a lot of zeal to get this mess cleaned up, zeal I didn't really have today. I wish there was a way we'd know when one was coming like the people in the midwest know when a tornado is on it's way.

Interesting use of the words and timely, yes. A good read.
Phew, I'll second Thom's comment here.
I'm glad I don't live on a fault line..Jeeze
Nice idea, loved the way you worked the words in, especially ribbon!

I used this idea also...sad that it fits so well with today's events in Haiti.
Timely and nicely crafted!
The irony strikes me - how a word like "jolt" appeared long before the earthquake and here, you blended that syncronicity so brilliantly.
THANK YOU.
Great use of the prompts!
That is true - it is a scary thing - earth quake, the devastation and the unpredictability of it!
Great piece and quite relevant in the sad event going on ...
A subject in all our minds right now...
A timely topic, that's for sure. When people ask how I feel about living in an area prone to hurricanes, I point out that every place has its natural disasters. Mine come with several days' warning.
great use of this week's prompt... destruction hurts us all... living in earthquake terrritory and tornado territory one does not always know it is coming... all i know is it is very unsettling to feel the earth shake beneath and the wind blow so hard suddenly outta nowhere... you caught it well...
