Happy Thanksgiving
I cruised over to Shambers place this morning and noticed from her posts that Canada is celebrating Thanks Giving this weekend. So I thought I would wish all the Canadian friends a Happy ThanksGiving and Many More .

I loved the Holidays when I was a young boy My family is a large family there are eight children four boys and four girls we all grew up very close to each other, sure some of us would fight, but it's normal with any family we weren't born with the same likes, dislikes, if you know what I mean. But when The Holidays were here it was all about fun things to do,traveling to a parade like the Rose Bowl Parade, been there done that several times .
when Thanksgiving was here, it meant to me that Christmas was just a month away, not that we recieved a lot of toys or items either. It was the songs that dad would play, and whistle too, it was the laughter that rang out throught the house. It was mama's laughter from something dad or one of my siblings was doing, or something she seen on television, there were some really funny, comedians back then. I remember Mama laughing her but off she would get so tickled at Bob Hope and Dean Martin.
I remember Grandma and Red ( our step grandfather) would be there. I loved grandma's hair it was so silvery with streaks of white. Finally Mom would come out and tell us to wash up and get ready to eat. We would take our seat at the table there was two tables, usually one for the Adults and the other for the children, but yet sitting together in the same room. Soon forks, spoons, plates, and bowls, were clicking, maybe even a cup of Hawian Punch being spilled I find myself here with tears running from my eyes remembering all the good times ....day dreaming to be there once again .

Hey there.
Holidays are guuuud. There is always good food, and good people. You really can't ask for more.
^_^
Thank you for your Thanksgiving wishes...
I remember too sitting at the kids table and enjoying everyones company. My mother was a single mother and still made such a spread of food. She used to have my grandfather over and at least 2 of the other elderly people who lived in his old folks home... I loved it...
She always had everyone and anyone over that had no place to go... that is what I do now. And I love it! She showed me how holidays are times to give and that is what makes it special...
I would invite you over for dinner if you lived closer...
Take care!
