Manic Monday
I started the day swamped with paper work that I needed to get signed. I had a new blueprint to stuff into it's cardboard tube so I could deliver it by the end of the day, but I needed to make sure the plans to his new house were what the client was looking for. This also being Clare's birthday, I knew she wanted to go dancing as I had promised her earlier in the week. Meeting the client would have to come first. I looked at the clock on the wall once again and noticed it was getting later by the minute. I thought to myself that I could stop by the client's house on the way to the club, since it was just a few blocks away from the client's house.
The black marble floor was cool to the bottom off my feet as I walked across the bedroom floor to take a shower. The water was refreshing as the beads of water bounced off my chest. Washing and rinsing in a hurry, I finally shutt off the water and began to get dressed. Glancing into the mirror, my leather pants were loose around the hips, but snug enough, the way I like them. The white turtle neck shirt looked great with the orange unbuttoned shirt over it.
I drove to my client's house and rang the doorbell, then waited for the door to open. I greeted my client, "Hello Mr Jones".

I bet his client wondered why his architect was dressed so snazzy just to deliver blueprints.
nice!
I will have to admit I was lulled into thinking that the architect was a female - your red herring of the mention of hips being the main teaser for me.
It served as a slap when I realized I was mistaken; forcing me to re-read the prose.
You worked hard at delivering several of the senses to engage the reader - which brought a solid feel to the piece.
On my quest to try different genres each week, mine is influenced by the Cyberpunk one. http://annieevett.blogspot.com/2009/08/cold-cobblestones.html
You had me guessing as to where this was going! I am still thinking maybe something is going to happen with the client. The shower seemed like a build up to something-your descriptions were nicely done! I felt like I was there!
excellent writing style

I really like the black marble. I've always wanted a dining room with a black marble floor and red walls...go figure...
